What's in a name?

I found this shirt in Kaden's drawer that says "stronger than you think." That just explains Kaden in every way! We chose the name Kaden because it means "fighter." Kaden was our third pregnancy and after 2 miscarriages somehow we knew that he would be our successful pregnancy. We knew that he would be the baby that fought his way to us.

We used Justin's name not only because he is Kaden's daddy, but also because it means "righteous." So Kaden Justin means a "fighter of righteousness." We hope that he will know and understand that his name was chosen because we want him to be a fighter of righteousness and fight for those things that he knows to be true.

So strong he can lift a piano! :)

Back Home

Since we have been back we have had an interesting time trying to get Kaden back on his schedule, but its hard to be mad a such a cute boy!

 He tries really hard to crawl, but fortunately for us, and Hiccup, he isn't quite crawling yet.

 And eventually he got the food :)

Bath Time!

You know that target commercial where the baby is sitting on the bathroom rug and then looks up and the target diapers pop up on the screen? Well we had a similar scene in our house today!

Kaden was sitting in his bumbo while eating lunch, then all of a sudden I notice that he was grunting and straining. I immediately said "oh this is going to be bad!" Kaden just looked up at me and smiled really big as if to say, 'You have NO idea!' sure enough, I didn't.

Can anyone say BATH TIME?!

Kaden is such a big boy he doesnt even use his baby bath anymore!

Update!

So since I haven't written anything in a long while, here is a little update on us!

Opa Visited us when he was in tarboro on the 10th! It was so good to see him again and spend some time with him! We went to the ECU game and Kaden came, he was really tired and not feeling well, but he did amazing, considering! He was so cute in the little ECU onesie that Jaxon let him borrow! :) We had an awesome time! And even though we didn't win, we enjoyed being with Jason and Lena and cheering for the Pirates!

I also made him a little frog beanie that luckily he doesn't take off! I think he looks adorable in it! 

 

Kaden also discovered his toes yesterday while laying on our bed in the morning. It was so funny, he was talking to them and trying to eat them!

Milestone Week

Our little boy is growing up! This week was big for him, he overcame several milestones!
He started grabbing for things, sitting up and eating cereal!

We don't have a picture of him grabbing things, but he sure loves his toys!

He sat up all by himself for the first time (and for more than 5 seconds) on Saturday. He is getting better every day-sometimes doesn't like to sit when he is tired, but lets face it who does :)

 I am really not holding him up, my hand is just there in case he falls.

Also we tried feeding him solids on Sunday and it was a success! He sure knows how to eat, obviously, he is  just a little messy.
